Our long-standing collaboration with Migros Bank has led to exciting projects, with the investment overview being an absolute highlight.

An issue of the investment overview comprises around 30,000 characters, or in other words: 14 PDF pages. That’s a long article that needs to be well designed so that you don’t lose track.

Fresh design with corporate colors

Since the introduction of the new corporate design, Migros Bank has become more modern, fresher and more colorful. This is also reflected in the design of the investment overview.

Colorful tiles in the table of contents not only provide an overview, but also a varied introduction to the long and informative texts.

The chapter title, which remains unchanged, helps with orientation and also provides an overview. To ensure that you also have a good overview, we have developed a dynamic table of contents that highlights the current chapter, but also shows the overall progress with the help of a progress bar.

Of course, this also works on mobile devices, where the individual chapters are displayed next to each other and the progress bar also shows the progress horizontally.

Clever patterns for the editorial team

We have not only specialized in offering the users of a website or web application a great experience. For all projects in which a CMS such as WordPress is used, we also think about the editorial team. In other words, the people who will maintain the website and content.

Since we do the editing ourselves, we slip into the role of our customers in a way. We use the backend functions we have developed ourselves, maintain the content and publish the articles. To ensure we make progress as quickly as possible, we ask ourselves anew with every issue: is there anything we can optimize? In the meantime, there’s almost nothing left, as we have greatly optimized the workflow.

This allows us to make efficient use of the short time between delivery of the texts and translations and to be able to press the publish button on time. Central to this are various “patterns” and templates that we have prepared and constantly improved. Instead of starting each issue from scratch and building everything from scratch, we use our content options to make rapid progress. For example, we have also developed certain text modules for the different language versions, which are automatically translated when we enter the content.

At the end of the editorial work, the short links are adjusted so that they point to the latest issue. And then it’s time for us to call it a day at around 16:00. And Migros Bank customers get some good reading material for the weekend. See you in the next issue!
