This year’s XMAS retreat took us to the idyllic tree chalets in the Allgäu – a place seemingly made for inspiring workshops, communal cooking, and pure relaxation. Away from the everyday hustle, we had the chance not only to refine our internal processes and tools but also to grow closer as a team. Whether gathered around the dining table, in the sauna, or soaking in the hot tub, our days were filled with creative ideas, delicious food, and an abundance of cozy vibes.

The Tree Chalets

The tree chalets (baumchalets.de) had long been on our wishlist, but they are so popular that booking one had always been a challenge. This year, we finally managed to plan our XMAS trip early and secured three chalets for four days.

As expected, the chalets are nestled in a serene and picturesque location, right by the small ski slope Thaler Höhe. Surrounded by trees, they offer breathtaking views, and waking up among the treetops is nothing short of magical. It was a wonderful place to come together, spend quality time, and recharge our energy as a team.

Teamwork & Workshops

Our days in the chalets were not just relaxing but also productive. Between winter hikes and cozy dinners, we carved out time to work on our internal processes. A highlight was our workshop on process optimization and automation. With fresh ideas and approaches for more efficient workflows, we took the first steps toward implementation. We also discussed creative solutions for future projects. It was a perfect blend of productive exchange and a relaxed team atmosphere – exactly what drives our team forward.

Activities & Adventures

The snowy landscape of the Allgäu provided the perfect backdrop for winter adventures. From snowball fights between the chalets to a group hike to the Thaler Höhe, nature both inspired and invigorated us. In the evenings, we warmed up in the sauna or hot tub, shaking off the cold and winding down after a day of fun.

Creative Exchange & Playful Fun

Work and relaxation were complemented by plenty of fun. Our evenings were filled with gift exchanges, entertaining board games, and lots of laughter. Games like ‘Mamma Mia!’ not only made us chuckle but also paired perfectly with our homemade pizza creations. These shared moments strengthened our team spirit and created many unforgettable memories.

Culinary Highlights

Food brings people together – and this was evident throughout our XMAS trip. From fondue evenings with an authentic Bündner fondue pot to Jeff’s sensational risotto with peas and glazed carrots, and Dominik’s perfectly prepped pizza dough, everyone pitched in to make every meal a highlight. We even celebrated the advent season by lighting candles on the first Sunday of Advent, soaking in the festive mood.

Me-Time & Relaxation

As much as we valued our time together, having personal downtime was equally important. Whether curling up with a good book, watching Christmas movies, or simply relaxing in the sauna, everyone found their own rhythm. This balance between communal moments and individual relaxation made the retreat truly special.

Clients First – Even During the Retreat

Our clients and their projects remained our top priority during the retreat. Each day, we set aside a few hours to manage ongoing tasks and client requests.

For instance, during the retreat, we monitored ticket presales for the podcast Zivadiliring at Hallenstadion, ensuring the website remained stable under high traffic and the ticket sales process ran smoothly. This balancing act between retreat and client work demonstrated the importance of strong organization and teamwork.

A Retreat That Connects

Our XMAS retreat to the tree chalets was far more than just a break from the daily grind. It was an opportunity to grow closer as a team, develop new ideas, and fully enjoy our time together. Between workshops, snowball fights, homemade meals, and relaxing hours in the sauna and hot tub, we found a perfect balance of productivity and relaxation.

These days reminded us once again of how important it is to create space for exchange, creativity, and rejuvenation beyond the workday. With cherished memories and renewed energy, we’re excited about the projects awaiting us in 2025.
