With the relaunch of Pro Helvetia’s main website, we have established a new benchmark in digital excellence. Leveraging modern technologies, we focused on creating an intuitive user experience while adhering to the highest standards of accessibility.
A standout feature is the “Find Funding” function, which streamlines the application process through an advanced filtering system seamlessly integrated with the Absidion platform.
A global hub for arts and culture
Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Arts Council, is dedicated to promoting contemporary and professional art and culture of national significance on behalf of the Swiss Confederation. With its engagement across all disciplines — except film — and its transdisciplinary approach, Pro Helvetia plays a vital role in fostering the visibility of Swiss art both domestically and internationally. Additionally, the organization is committed to setting benchmarks in equal opportunities and sustainability, ensuring its impact goes beyond cultural boundaries.
New Website for Enhanced Usability and Accessibility
Since 2015, we have partnered with Pro Helvetia on several digital initiatives, including the development of their multilingual website. In collaboration with Pro Helvetia’s communications team and the design agency Reverse AG we launched in early 2024, their new main website. The result is a platform defined by intuitive user navigation, advanced accessibility, and cutting-edge technologies.
A standout feature of the new site is the “Find Funding” function. Designed with a sophisticated filter system, it enables users to quickly and efficiently identify suitable funding opportunities. The application submission process has been significantly streamlined: users can seamlessly transition from exploring funding options on the website to submitting applications via the “Submit Application” function, which integrates directly with Ascaion’s Absidion system through a dedicated interface.
To ensure the site is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities, an accessibility review was conducted in collaboration with Access4All. This guarantees that the platform is both easy to navigate and inclusive, meeting the highest standards of usability and accessibility.
Unifying International Branch Offices
The new website consolidates the content of Pro Helvetia’s international offices abroad —located in Johannesburg, Cairo, New Delhi, Shanghai, and South America — directly on prohelvetia.ch. Through a flexible user rights system and a custom-tailored content management system, each branch office can independently manage its content and blog posts.
This integration not only strengthens Pro Helvetia’s global networking capabilities but also ensures a cohesive and consistent digital presence for the foundation, aligning its international reach with its core mission.
